Overview of Doctoral Program
The National College of Naprapathic Medicine is chartered by the State of Illinois and recognized by the State Board of Higher Education to grant the degree, Doctor of Naprapathy (D.N.). Graduates of the College are eligible to take the Naprapathic Medicine examination for licensure in the State of Illinois.
The D.N. Degree requires:

66 hours - Basic Sciences

64 hours - Naprapathic Sciences

60 hours - Clinical Internship*
Total: 190 hours beyond the Associate’s level |

The academic year is structured in 4 semesters of 12 weeks each. Students have the option of following any of the three programs outlined below. Please note that each program requires a one-year clinical internship.* Follow the links for more information on each option.

Accelerated Program - Three calendar years. Two academic years of 5 classes per term plus one-year internship.

Full-Time Program - Four calendar years. Three academic years of 3-4 classes per term plus one-year internship.

Student-at-Large - for those interested in exploring the field of Naprapathic Medicine at their own pace, or who are not ready to commit to a formal Doctor of Naprapathy program.
*Following the student's coursework, passage of the National Board of Naprapathic Examiners (NBNE) examination is required prior to the commencement of the clinical internship.
